Rushin wrote her first piece of software (a calculator) with BASIC in her 4th grade in Taiwan. After graduated with a Computer Science master degree in the US, she began to try her luck in tech startup world for several years before she took her first corporate job at Disney, where she worked on products that serve multi-million users. In 2017 she left Disney to focus on Groota. In August 2018, Groota officially launched.
When Rushin is not coding and growing Groota, she is participating in environmental protection activities. BBC Earth and Plastic Oceans Foundation, among others, are the first batch of newsletters that Groota processes for users to follow.
Since Cho's first job out of college as the number 3 employee at a MIT-incubated startup, he never really left tech startup world despite his career has been in tech startups and big corporates. After graduated from Cornell University with a Computer Science master degree, Cho has worked on and overseen many cutting-eduge projects and products. At Groota, Cho leads all things on engineering, product design, and security.
When Cho is not coding and growing Groota, he enjoys movies and traveling. His research-obsessed shopping habit helps shape Groota's product roadmap.
She is passionate about graphic design, brand creation and development, consumer behavior research and operations management. She is known for her talent of creating beautiful things with limited to no resources, but is also crazy about Australian Shepherds, crafting and building miniatures for dollhouses in 1:24 scale.
